Yeah, it is way old news, but I finally watched the Live 8 Pink Floyd footage over at AOL Music. Wish this was forshadowing a coming tour, but I just doubt it. I would like to comment on something I found out much later, but illustrates just how far MTV has sunk. Apparently MTV was going to commercial breaks durring bands performances. I can't be sure but I don't remember them doing that for Live Aid.. So if you wanted to see the concerts without freakin commercials you needed to be at your PC ( and the quality is pretty darned good). It should be noted IN A BIG WAY, if you did not know, this was Pink Floyd with Roger Waters on stage. I am not sure how many years it has been since that happened but it is decades, and MTV broke for commercials.

About the previous post.. That is a dynamic graphic which gets stats about my character in EQ2 and then is updated to the latest info on him. I just thought it was kinda cool, the guy who created it has a blog . PhatBoyG Speaking of EQ and PhatBoyG, he pointed to a link in his blog to an article on Plat Farmers (or is that pharmers).

More cool stuff that falls into the entertainment category.

ICE

This was forwarded to me by Joani, seems like a good idea if tons of folks pick up on the idea.

To its owner, the cell phone is an indispensable lifeline at times of crisis, reuniting loved ones separated by unforeseen events at the touch of a button. But for members of the emergency services making life-and-death decisions, the cell poses a conundrum: Which of the numbers stored in its electronic address book should they call to reach a casualty's next of kin? Now a simple initiative, conceived by a paramedic in Britain, has gained momentum on both sides of the Atlantic to try to solve this problem. Cell users are being urged to put the acronym ICE -- "in case of emergency" -- before the names of the people they want to designate as next of kin in their cell address book, creating entries such as "ICE -- Dad" or "ICE -- Alison." At least two police forces in the United States are considering the idea, according to the initiative's British-based promoters, who say there has been a flurry of interest since the recent bombings in London.
